MCE Partnerships
The Power of Partnerships
Through our joint partnerships, MCE is able to provide rewarding training and development opportunities. Together with our partners we continue to build a solid foundation of innovation and workforce skills development to help employers increase their local and global competitiveness.
Mohawk College Enterprise Corporation (MCE) believes that "individuals and careers" go hand-in-hand and MCE is able to strategically appropriately match the workforce training and development needs of any company. These needs are best understood in a sustained relationship between the "college" and the "company" through a uniquely created partnership with MCE.
MCE is the bridge between the college and the private sector. Our partnerships are a powerful way to create benefits for our students, employees, companies, the community and the college.

Both EMC and MCE are closely linked to the Greater Golden Horseshoe's regional economic development organizations and provide ongoing support to employers. |

Hydro One - Four colleges in Ontario and Hydro One have developed a comprehensive partnership to address to a looming skills shortage. At Hydro One, upwards of 30 per cent of its highly skilled workforce will be eligible to retire in the next few years. Those workers will be replaced by job-ready college graduates. Through the power of partnerships, students in Mohawk's two-year Electrical Engineering Technician - Power program and three-year Electrical Engineering Technology - Control program will graduate with the technical skills and practical experience to get the job done in the electrical transmission and distribution utility sector. At the same time, upgrading and advancing existing employees is also a key component of a HR strategy, and therefore, MCE will be delivering the corporate training required under this new partnership. |
