MCE Trainers

 

DAVID COLE - David is an experienced leader and educator and continues to focus resources on delivering a high quality pragmatic approach to business solutions.

He has provided strong leadership to improve business planning, operations and project delivery.

David's organizational experience includes 19 years with Canadian Tire and 5 years at Westburne before embarking on his consulting business and teaching career. Functions managed include: Strategic Planning and Technology, Applications Development and Support, Training, Help Desk, Telecommunications, Business Operations, HR, PD, Q/A, Disaster Recovery and Computer Operations.

David is a volunteer crew lead for Habitat for Humanity Halton and was "Volunteer of the Year" in 2008.

GREG NEALE - Greg has been involved with the Motive Power Training Programs at Mohawk College since 1987. He has provided corporate training for General Motors and Canadian Tire Technician Programs, as well as both developed and delivered a large variety of automotive and commercial vehicle programs. Greg's certifications include both the 310T and 310S Provincial Trade licenses.

He is currently a professor/coordinator for the Truck and Coach Apprenticeship Program and has coordinated and taught in the Hitachi Haul Truck Corporate training, Employment Ontario Skills Pathways Commercial Vehicle and Equipment Training and the Burlington YMCA Skills Training for Commercial Vehicle and Equipment.

LISA DENNIE - Lisa Dennie brings 15 years of corporate experience at Bell Canada where she held many roles including: Trainer and Coach for new customer service representatives, Training Manager for trainers responsible for assisting new representatives with technical and customer service skills as well as Total Quality team member dedicated to improving processes and communication to "do the right things the right way the first time".

Currently, Lisa designs and delivers top-notch training material for workshops and courses, incorporating leading edge information and research in the field of interpersonal skills. 

Courses include Core Skills for Managers, Mastering Communications, Creating AMAZING Customer Service and many more.

MICHAEL HASLAM - Michael has been a Professor at Mohawk College for the last 20 years teaching Apprenticeship Plumbing as well as Cross Connection Control. He is a licensed plumber, gas fitter, welder, well technician 4, as well as a cross connection control tester/specialist.

Michael was instrumental in bringing the O.W.W.A. Cross Connection Control Course to Ontario in 1993 and has been specializing in it ever since. 

He is also sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF) and is the Cross Connection Control Officer for the Ontario Water Works Association (AWWA).

PEGGY DANIEL, B.A.(SAS), B.Ed. - Peggy is a seasoned professional and has been with Mohawk College for several years. She is currently a Continuing Education Instructor, Day-School Professor, Distance Education Advisor, Corporate Trainer, and Program Manager for the Business Applications Certificate, Webmaster Certificate, and Integrated Accounting Certificate.

Peggy looks forward to helping you master the Microsoft software.

ROSEMARY IMOLA - Rosemary has been an Instructor at Mohawk College for the past 22 years and has taught for the following; Continuing Education, Business; Contract Training; Staff Development (Human Resources), Brantford Applied Arts and Business Department, Distance Education Business and www.OntarioLearn.com.

In March 2007, she received a Special Acknowledgement Award in recognition for 20 years of dedicated service to Continuing Education and in March of 2002, received a once in a life-time Award of Appreciation for ongoing commitment to Continuing Education Students.

DOUG DANEILS - Doug has been a full-time instructor with Mohawk College since 1999 in the Mechanical Engineering Department and also holds a Certificate of Qualification as a Construction Maintenance Electrician.

He has worked in the Fluid Power Industry for 36 years starting in the Specialized Engineering Department at Stelco Corporate, then into engineering sales at 3 different Fluid Power houses in the Niagara and Toronto area as a Tech Rep and an Engineering Manager.

Currently working with the Halton Board of Education and Mohawk College in a careers pathway course for high school students as they transition into college life.

WARREN A. HYDE - As a Certified Plumber, Plumbing Inspector, Hydronic Designer/Installer, Educator and Trainer, Warren has over 20 years experience in the residential, commercial and industrial aspects of the trade with extensive experience in pump installation and wells, domestic water treatment and rural waste systems. 

Warren is also uniquely qualified to develop and deliver curriculum for unique client groups such as the Women in Skilled Trades Program and blueprint reading in the plumbing, hydronic, carpentry, roofing, brick and stone and drywall trades.

As an active member of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Technical Committee, Warren has been instrumental in working to develop the codes and standards of practice in the hydronic heating and plumbing industry. Warren is currently receiving training for the design and installation of Geothermal Systems.

MICHAEL SCOTT - Michael has been teaching at Mohawk College since September 2000 in both the Continuing Education and Distance Education programs. As an instructor, he is actively involved in teaching and developing a number of courses in the Webmaster Certificate Program, with his speciality in the web graphics field. 

Michael is also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

ROSEMARIE ORTIZ - Rosemarie has served as an Instructor for the Mohawk College Continuing Education Department since 2000.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various Microsoft Business Software Applications.   

Rosemarie comes with a plethora of training and course delivery experience with a personal focus on student learning and development.   She thoroughly enjoys her position as an educator and considers herself a lifelong learner.
